1/4 cup light brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon salt
For the Batter:
4 tablespoons unsalted butter (for browning)
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup buttermilk
For the Glaze:
1/3 cup powdered sugar
3 tablespoons heavy cream (or 1 1/2 tablespoons for a thicker glaze)

Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Apples
Dice the Apples: Cut the apples into quarters, then slice them horizontally. Cut the slices into strips and then dice them into medium-sized pieces.
